B&N Wedding - London Ont.
Back in October, I had a wonderful time with Bobby and Natalie, photographing their special day. Natalie and her Bridal party started their day at the Side Street Salon while the Groomsmen prepared at Bobby's home. The girls were pampered by the wonderful staff with coffee, treats and amazing talent. Getting to know the Bridal party at the salon made the morning fly by, the next thing I knew, it was time to run up to see the Groomsmen. Bobby and his Groomsmen were just starting to get their suits in order as I arrived. Like an organized sports team they had each other sorted out and ready to go in no time. We stepped out into the back yard to grab a few group photos in the wet snowy conditions.
Now it was time to head over to the ceremony. Natalie and Bobby booked a beautiful little spot off the 401 and Colonel Talbot called the Little Rose Chapel. A very old little chapel with a lot of TLC put into it. The ceremony was great and everyone looked amazing, especially the the little flower girls and the ring bares. I could tell they were all pretty nervous about walking down the isle, but for the boys, Natalie and Bobby had a great idea on how to get them to make their way to the front of the chapel. They had two plastic baseballs which were rolled down the isle and it didn’t take long for the two ring bares, running behind the baseballs to get up to the front of the congregation.
The weather continued to stay wet and cold, but Bobby and Natalie didn't let that slow them down. They were both troopers when it came to posing for the outdoor photos. Kudos to Natalie especially as her wedding dress like most, wasn’t designed for the cold weather. Due to the conditions, it was decided to do the majority of the photos in the lobby of the Best Western Inn where the reception was being held. They had a beautiful fire place in the lobby and a large area to hold the group photos along with some creative portraits of the Bride and Groom.
Dinner and the reception carried the party late into the night. Before I packed my gear up, I looked outside to see that there was a wonderful snow fall happening. Very large snow flakes and not a lot of wind. During our engagement shoot, the couple mentioned that there was a nice little old shed behind the Hotel that they thought would be a good spot for some photos. Due to the weather earlier in the day we didn’t make it back there, but when I saw the snow, I had to track down Natalie and Bobby to convince them to come out into the cold again for a beautiful night shot beside the little shed they mentioned a few months back.
I would like to thank Natalie and Bobby for having me and I look forward to seeing you in the next chapter of your life.
